🧲 Find Studs with Ease: Zircon StudSensor e40 - Electronic Stud Finder Review

This was a very good, very basic product - great for those who just need to find cleats. I'm no builder, but this device makes finding spikes surprisingly easy, even for a beginner like me.

This item arrived faster than advertised. I bought it for €15 including shipping. Then I went to Walmart and saw the same thing for only $10. It works as described. A little moody on rare occasions, but it works well enough to get the job done. Requires a 9 volt battery (not included).

I bought this for my dad and he loves it. It's a massive improvement over the total lack of a spike finder, but it's not the fanciest device in the world. Note that it doesn't come with batteries (not that it should, but I should have paid more attention considering I gave it away!). Free super saver shipping was a plus.

It does what I need. I also like the fact that I can see electrical wires in walls. Haven't used it yet to see how accurate the current detection actually is, but I'm a general contractor and will update this review if I crack some wires it didn't detect.

It fits both my standard walls (5/8 drywall instead of 2x4) and deep scans to my very thick walls (1/2" fiberboard + 5/8 drywall + 2x1/2" " Drywall. If you read the instructions and understand how the device works (detects the change in density behind the wall), then you probably can't go wrong, which generally gets the best reviews.

I've been looking for a stud finder that actually works for a while. I've been through a lot and none of them have ever given me confidence that they actually found the hairpin. Often the tip was not where it was listed. This product eliminates doubts. I tried friends before buying this and fell in love immediately. Lol, yes, with the spike finder. I couldn't wait to buy mine and I use it several times a week while renovating my house. This has never been a mistake. Must buy.
