This stuff is a must have if you're not wrapping a whole slab. I only wrapped part of the hood. I didn't want to machine cut the vinyl and this material helped me get super clean lines without the risk of damaging the paint with a knife.

This made custom sun visor for my 2005 Jeep Liberty very easy. I managed to get it on the exact curves of the hood to make it look unique. It also took away the stress of having to measure twice and cut once to find something that's a little off.

First time I used something like this. It was wonderful. I wanted something different, a vinyl design that you won't see anywhere else, which also means you can't just buy or cut it. It was easy to put on, easy to twist and very easy to trim. But you MUST follow the installation instructions. I watched a few youtube videos which were very helpful in understanding how it works and the best way to use it. Good product!

The product is an expensive joke. The thread is so weak and brittle that it breaks so easily that you will get so frustrated that you will end up using just a utility knife. All reviews here are questionable. Why didn't they use strong thread? All my life I have been close to the thread, and it is made of the cheapest and weakest materials. You can make the best tape and fishing line craft product for less money and get better results. Don't waste money!

This stuff is important but absolutely hate doing it. The string breaks very easily, for example it is difficult to start without breaking the string before you can start cutting the vinyl. Which then requires trying to pull the 2nd end, or having to pull the whole thing and run another pitch (start over). Again, not having it at all would be awful, but having it so delicate when used in such a detailed scenario (vinyl wrap, etc.) is insane!

So I have a matte black Bell helmet which is very hot in the summer and I wanted some relief so I bought 5ft of car wrap and gave it a try. I watched the 3M video and it was easy to start the line, but the cut line sometimes suffices and sometimes I had to cut some vinyl to get started. Other times the line would break halfway (even if I was pulling at a 30° angle) and then I would pull the rest of the line, starting at the other end. This material really bridges the gap between an amateur like me and a seasoned pro.
