Not what I thought

The source of my frustration with the chain row counter is my own expectations. I haven't really thought about using the 'how'. I figured if the counter was on the needle I'd remember to count the row (like I did with the clicker or pen) and I think that's true. I didn't think this would be a hindrance and a hindrance to knitting as I was bothered by the length of the chain. I'll keep practicing with this and hopefully find a way to use it in a way that makes it work the way I intend it to. If…

Highly recommend this counter

Rarely do I see a product with a solid 5 star rating but this is definitely one of those products. This is probably the best idea I've come up with in 30 years of knitting. I've tried all kinds of line counters and the problem is always the same - you have to remember to move forward. Since this very original chain hangs directly from the needle, I only have to use it when I move it. This is a self reminder. The rating is for this device, NOT for the quality of the device. I'm sure this works great for some people. It's not for me, I just couldn't get into it. Positive Notes: It didn't affect my work at all. Easy to carry while working. You don't need to take your hands off the pins to count. Instructions included.
