Great value for money

I bought this to replace the Fujitsu Scansnap S1500 for the wireless convenience and because I was tired of the software. Of course, Fujitsu still has the best hardware and the fastest scanning speeds. Fujitsu's major downside is the buggy software (which they wrote themselves) and the lack of technical support. After I bought a new computer, I just couldn't set up Fujitsu anymore because I couldn't specify a directory to save the scanned files. Yes, you read that right, the directory path was…

Pros
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi
Cons
  • Not bad

Friendly - EASY!

My mother gave me a project to scan her old photos (there are many). I bought and returned several scanners before receiving this one. It doesn't need to be connected to a computer, which makes working on a project a pleasure anywhere! However, I downloaded the drivers to my computer. First, I sorted the images by size to reduce the chance that one of them would be crooked. When I had a stack of about 50 or less I just put them in the feeder and hit the start button. One after the other breaks…

Pros
  • SECURITY: The ADS 2700W provides secure access to the scanner with separate and specific scanning features including SSL, TLS, SFTP and lock settings. Daily load: 3000
Cons
  • A few little things

of scanning. Documents between ten and twenty pages that need to be converted to PDF files, and so on. I bought this scanner based on good reviews and expected it to work smoothly and easily as advertised. What a disappointment. It boils down to this: the document feeder pulls pages in from the back so quickly and randomly that it's impossible to control them as they exit from the front. The paper handover is a disaster. The high speed advertised in the reviews is a BIG PROBLEM as the pages…

Easy setup and sufficient performance

A true small business owner is writing this review. many 1 and 2 stars. I run a real estate agency and we have to scan receipts on a monthly basis. My HP laser printer/scanner eventually stopped scanning from the ADF (still printing fine), so I decided to buy a dedicated scanner rather than try to fix my $150+ HP multi-page scan feature. My research came down to this ADS-2700. Auto and 1600 Fujitsu. I chose Brothers as they looked like a simplified version of Fujitsu that had more bells and…

Easy to set up and works reasonably well

A true small business owner is writing this review. I hope to help others as there are many 1 and 2 star reviews for scanners everywhere. • Weak

Summary: I've been using the Brother ADS2700W wireless scanner for a few days - I've been using it quite heavily. Works great for the most part. Need a workaround for pages with many pages. Some people might get confused by the PC software name. How it's used: I used an Ethernet connection with the device. I installed the Brother PC software on my Windows 10 laptop which connects to the network wirelessly. It always seems to be writing to the documents folder, and there doesn't seem to be a way

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • no performance

Good hardware but no mobile OCR and lousy software

Spoiler alert: I've decided to return this scanner. I really wanted to like him. This is what I was looking for in Scanner1. High quality, fast scanning2. Good OCR (Optical Character Recognition - the ability to convert a scanned document into searchable/editable text)3. The ability to connect to the scanner from more than one device via Wi-Fi, allowing multiple people in my family to use it4. Mobile scanning so I can scan something straight to my phone5. Ease of use in software and hardware…
