Large capacity but hot and bulky

It certainly holds tons of data, 256GB is too much for such a small device. At the same time, there are three concerns that someone would want me to know before buying. First, it sticks out a little (see photo). It always looks like it's not all the way in, but it doesn't go any deeper. The second problem is that it is always very hot here. If you touch it, it won't burn your skin, but it will definitely scare you. It's in my laptop and I have to be careful not to bang my foot on it. Finally, I

USB Flash Drive Tech Experts Review

I bought the 128GB version because of the uncritical form factor. Fully updated out of the box on a Windows 10 machine: Capacity: 124,272,574,464 bytes (115GB) Format: FAT32 Shown in Device Manager as: USB DISK 3.0 USB device Good enough for what I use it for, media files move in my house . It appears to have a 1GB buffer, allowing for 120MB/s transfers. Speed, but after that first 1GB of data, it drops to 10MB/s and slowly drops to 6MB/s. OR get the same 120MB/s transfer rate for the first 1GB

Attention buyers, this is not what it seems

First of all, buyers beware. They're what you'd call non-regulars in the shop, they've been thrown out of the final box because something wasn't up to spec or standards. I didn't have 128GB but 117GB with no 10GB storage. Now it works great and has no speed issues, but for a few bucks I could get a 128GB Samsung flash drive. They will never be used, but everyone will have something that is not up to spec. I would recommend getting something better that isn't discounted enough at the currentโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great construction

  • Available in white only

Flash drive turns on and off intermittently

Most of the time I have this tiny flash drive plugged into my laptop. It's been on and off lately. I've tried moving it back and forth and it will find a good middle ground and appear on the network, albeit with difficulty. Looks like a bad connection inside. To rule out a USB port issue, I also tried different ports with the same symptoms. This often causes my computer to freeze and corrupt files. The speed of copying files is also not lower than USB 3, it is less than 5 MB / s. In additionโ€ฆ
