Works on My Jeep XJ Dana 30

Works perfectly to remove ball joints! There were some installation issues as the ball joint press didn't open wide enough to use the correct bits, but other than that it worked for my application. 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ with stock Dana 30

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Long standing

Impressively! Need to have!

If you have an OTC ball joint installation and removal tool kit and are planning on replacing your ball joints with a Wrangler (05 Rubicon in our case) these are a must! They fit perfectly and made the job easy! We removed the "native" ball joints and installed new ones in an hour! Both above and below! Worth the money, just do it, glad I did. I've made other ball joints for my jeeps in the past without them. Bad.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Made working with steering and suspension tools easier

These adapters made the job easier. They work great with the new Spicer ball joints I received. The included detachable shell was not large enough to bypass my factory top ball joint during removal. Luckily there was a part in the ball joint press that worked for this. I used this kit with an over the counter press rented from Oreilly. There are no problems working with this press. The cups work perfectly with the spice ball joints for my jeep tj. This is required for the installation. Removing

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • It pisses me off

Works very well.: Steering & Suspension Tools

This kit makes replacing your Jeep's ball joints a breeze. I have used this adapter set along with an OTC press and it has worked great. I've used this on many joints including my Jeep YJ and TJ and my son's 89ft Cherokee. IDK if compatible with JK or JU. This kit is insanely expensive for what you get, but if your labor is money, it's worth it. with the appropriate adapter quickly and easily. All adapters fit in the carrying case of the OTC press. which is nice.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Weak Kit

pressed! fits steering and suspension tools

After much deliberation I bought this product. I've seen a few people swap out ball joints with a regular set of ball joint separators and manage to press them straight in, but with a lot of improvisation and personal risk. want trouble. This mug set was perfect. I had the old one pressed out and the new one pressed in on both the driver and passenger sides in just over an hour. They are worth the money and are of good quality. . OEM ball joints don't have to wait long for a cup.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Something else

Jeep Wrangler Ball Joint Adapter

This adapter set is used with the 7249 OTC ball joint press. In my opinion these adapters are needed to replace ball joints on a Jeep Wrangler. The adapters that come standard with the 7249 press do not fit my Jeep. OTC automotive tools are some of the best you can have. I also have several other OTC instruments. In most cases, you can get the job done with a cheaper, high-quality "port shipping" tool, but if you think tools are a lifetime investment, then OTC is a good choice. I've worked on…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other kits

*NOT FOR '07 JK WRANGLER*

I have an '07 Jeep Wrangler that this kit is for. The problem is that the cut out part (the biggest part) isn't deep enough to be used with a standard ball joint as described in their own instructions. In addition, it is made of too thin-walled material, so the inner diameter is too large. This allows it to slide off the lip of the ball joint when pressed in. If I buy a special tool for my car, I expect it to work. I have to wonder if they actually tried it before saying it fit. EDIT: I've been

Pros
  • Convenient item

  • So far so good
