These adapters made the job easier. They work great with the new Spicer ball joints I received. The included detachable shell was not large enough to bypass my factory top ball joint during removal. Luckily there was a part in the ball joint press that worked for this. I used this kit with an over the counter press rented from Oreilly. There are no problems working with this press. I've seen a few people swap out ball joints with a regular set of ball joint separators and manage to press them straight in, but with a lot of improvisation and personal risk. want trouble.
