The luminous flux is very high, even after several thousand hours you still get a great performance. I'm not sure what else to say about the lightbulb, so I'll leave it here.

Last lamp lasted 10 years. The quality of the new lamp is the same as the old one. The color and brightness of the light is excellent, and the cost is surprisingly low. This is the bulb when you need a great safety light.

Metal halide lights are a real pain. Bulbs cost $36. When lightning strikes, it turns off the lamp and does not return by itself. You need to turn off the power for about 15 minutes. Heat attracts insects. I had to remove the bottom cover and put 1/4" standoffs between the bottom cover and the lamp body so I could remove the bugs, used a pipe cleaner.
