day received, installed and tested. My Intel M.2 output does this at 2000 > reads and writes, while the FireCuda writes faster at just over 2000. For the price you would think the quality control would be better. Build: i7-11700k, Asus z590-E, Asus Strix 3080, Gskill 64GB RAM. I'll return without spending any money on something that doesn't even come close to the promised 7300 read/write parameters. I wonder if the overtly positive feedback is coming from those who haven't tested the speed…

Pros

Cons
  • some problems

Every Seagate hard drive I've ever bought has failed. There have been about a dozen of these over the years and I've just stopped buying them. I've bought SSDs (SATA, M.2 NVMe, m.SATA and even IDE or DOM) and none of them have ever failed. I turned them off as they got older, but I've never had a drive fail. Between my home office and all the tech stuff I do, there are hundreds of drives (almost all Samsung, with some Crucial/Micron and Sandisk mixed in). Because SSDs are so reliable, these…

Fast data storage - data storage

Very fast SSD. Can't comment on durability as I just got it, but it works well. However, the installation was PITA because I had never installed an m.2 SSD before. YouTube videos usually just show people screwing in an SSD easily, but (for people who don't know how to install an m.2 SSD) you can't just screw a drive into a motherboard. If your motherboard has an m.2 slot, there should already be a screw near the m.2 slot on the motherboard. Take it out and install it in the hole that your m.2…

Just installed

Received and installed yesterday so I haven't had much time to run through the dialer yet, rating may change as my experience changes. I installed it on my new Nitro 5 machine (basic boot space was only 500GB, it's crazy we're getting to the point where that's not enough these days! But I digress.) This is my first outing . to SSDs and so far so good. It's amazing how technology advances to fit 2TB into such a small package! On my typical computer, it occupies two drive bays with two standard…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Some difficulties

To be honest I would give this CD five stars but I gave it three so people are more likely to read this important disclaimer: I bought it without much searching because I knew these CD would fit my motherboard M .2 slot. After installing it, I got disappointing speeds. For example, my sequential read speed was 723 MB/s according to AS SSD testing software. After a little research, I found that only newer PCs with PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 can run higher published speeds with this drive. My motherboard…
