Slippery When Wet but Practical and Strong

I have never purchased rope before, and I had expected that this product, made not from hemp but from fossil fuel derivative products, would be less than ideal for my purpose of moving a 1-ton magic boulder off of my property. But I was wrong, it worked out great. And if you melt the cut ends with your Bic lighter after cutting the line, and then squeeze the loose strands with your fingertips (ouch its a little hot), it's easier to tie knots when you need that end - your tagline (that's knot…

Pros
  • ‎SK-TPM-38x400
Cons
  • May not have adequate tear resistance

Good quality and durable

I ordered a 50 ft x 1in rope and it worked out great. So I ordered a 2nd rope, same length same width on the Revain site. Turns out when it was delivered it was the wrong size. I needed it to be 1in but was 1/2 or3/4" I immediately notified Revain and i was told they would send a new one out to me but low and behold got the the same size smaller diameter rope again. Wish I could talk to a real human being from the manufacturer to resolve my problem.

Pros
  • Resting hammock
Cons
  • May not hold knots securely

Great rope for the price

Great product for crafting at a really good price. It doesn't stretch however, I like it because there aren't any strands or little pieces I have to burn off to make the rope look cleaner.

Pros
  • TWISTED POLYPRO ROPE - Lightweight "UnManila" is a stronger, synthetic version of the classic manila fiber. A versatile all-purpose utility cord ideal for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. Such as nautical and marine use, around the ranch or farm, as a decorative embellishment for landscaping, or in a game of tug-o'-war!
Cons
  • May not have adequate cut resistance

Looks like a natural fiber product

I bought this rope for making high top "rope spool" tables for our wedding. After searching for a natural fiber rope, I thought I would have to scrap the project for escalating costs. I then found this rope from SGT Knots and took the chance of ordering some. I am VERY pleased with the look as it is a good natural color, not too artificial tan as other similar poly products. It does have a slight sheen, but not bad at all. It does not have the immediate appearance of being plastic. Good job…

Pros
  • Right rope for my job
Cons
  • Not as strong as traditional Manila rope

Great rope good for me

I use this rope to hang daybeds and it is perfect. Holds its shape well, looks good with the knots in it, is easy to tie up. I wish every product I bought on amazon was this nice

Pros
  • LENGTH and WIDTH - Choose between pre-cut lengths of 10 feet, 25 feet, 50 feet, 100 feet, or 600 feet. SGT KNOTS Twisted Pro Manila / UnManila / Tan Polypro Rope diameter thickness options: 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, 3/4 inch, 1 inch, 1.25 inch, 1.5 inch, or 2 inch. The synthetic fibers of the diameter may measure slightly smaller than listed numerical size. Tan color mimics natural manila rope.
Cons
  • May not have adequate load-bearing capacity

A darn good rope in my review

I've been meaning to write a review for a while now, seeing as how I've been very pleased with the rope thus far.I purchased 25 feet of the SGT Knots Manila rope, and I can say without a doubt it suits my needs to a tee. I use it primarily for Alexander Zass-style dynamic tension/isometric exercises. It was recommended that I use a chain, however I felt a chain would be too awkward and cumbersome. The 2-inch thick SGT Knots rope is much lighter and flexible in comparison and allows me to store…

Pros
  • ‎3/8 in x 400 ft
Cons

Perfect for our application

The rope came as described, and most importantly, on time. I used the rope in my sister's wedding as a prop during my speech to demonstrate the importance of building trust and commitment. Much as a strong rope (especially one that was a full 2" thick!) comprises many smaller threads and filaments, a successful marriage is predicated on constantly building these same threads of trust and commitment, rather than occasional bouts of romance. At any rate, everyone in attendance was impressed with…

GREAT ADDITION TO MY DECK

I had a deck made and was debating what to add to the front. A small fence or rope? Since I am at the beach, rope seemed like the obvious choice. I always read reviews and decided on this width and rope. I am so glad I did! With our heat and rains in Florida, I didn't want it to rot easily with a natural material or get moldy quickly. I think it looks great. It was easy to work with and my handyman had no issues cutting it. I put lights on top of the post and wrapped the rope around for a…

Pros
  • We used this on a pier/walkway leading down to the lake in our backyard. Perfect!!!
Cons
  • It's Plastic. Looks like a real rope

Perfect to tie in our nautical look!

This line arrived quickly and perfectly fit what we wanted to do with it. As a maritime family our dock like deck is complete using this line as the railings. With one summer season in Florida almost through it seems to be withstanding the Florida weather well in the hot sun and heavy rain and high humidity. We are very please with our decision and the price was the best when shopping around. We got the authentic Manila look with the versatility of a man made product that won’t have issues with

Pros
  • STRENGTH AND RESISTANCE - Polypropylene is highly resistant to temperature, weather, UV rays, chemicals, oils, and abrasions. Twisted polypro rope fibers are lightweight with a high-tensile strength for longer-lasting knots and performance. 3-Strand Polypropylene Rope also has excellent shock absorption and does not kink.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with heavy machinery

Worth the money!: my feedback

Love this rope! So glad it came back in stock! I heard this company was good to buy from but never saw their product. They were cheaper than the other places on amazon so that worried me (you get what u pay for type thing) but when I got referred to purchase by another vet I thought I’d at least try. The rope is awesome, thick, well packaged. Totally worth the money and definitely will never buy from the more expensive places ever again! I added a clear coat of water protector for durability…

  • ‎Twisted
Cons
  • May not meet industry standards for safety

Great for our kid's rope swing

I connected this to a flower-shaped green, and round rope swing also purchased on Revain. There's a billion copies of it available. I needed to enlarge the whole in the rope swing base a little bit. That was easy enough with a pair of needle-nose pliers acting as a mandrel.Once you cut the rope, be sure to torch the ends and let them burn for 30 seconds in order to melt the nylon. That will prevent fraying. This rope easily holds 200 lb for a rope swing I think it's rated for several times more…

Cons
  • May not have adequate torque resistance

Just what I wanted!

This rope was exactly what I wanted and SGTknots was super helpful with my questions. In case anyone wants to achieve a similar look and can’t find any installation help online, here’s how I did it. My swing came with 4 eye bolts mounted to the bottom. I purchased 4 screw eyes and mounted those to the beams. Then 5/16” quick links (8 of these to connect chain to the screw eyes) and 1 roll of 3/8” x 30ft of chain that I cut to length with bolt cutters. The rope is 1.5” promanilla. I cut the rope

Pros
  • I used this for an extra large tire swing in my back yard. Very good quality!
Cons
  • Can be difficult to knot

Nice non-hemp rope best in my review

Just as described. Not a hemp rope, it is called UnManilla. It is a synthetic fiber and should be great for my outdorr project. I used it to wrap a lamp post by my boat dock. It will be out in the weather and I am hoping it will not rot like the manilla rope I used before. Very pleased

Pros
  • Fine rope for home projects. Nicely packaged. Good price.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in agriculture

SGT KNOTS - Responsive and easy to deal with

I wasn't sure which size of the ProManila rope I would need for my project so I ordered two sizes and returned the unnecessary size before ordering a larger quantity of the selected product. There were no problems with the return. I will use the cord to weave a seat and back for an outdoor bench I have built. I wanted the durability of polypropylene cord for its moisture resistance. I will send a photo when my project is completed. Thank you for your quick service.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting with excellent resistance to wear and tear, ensuring many uses for years to come
Cons
  • May not have adequate moisture resistance

Good value for the money.

Using the rope to pull over trees to ensure they fall where the felling notch wants them to go. Very adequate for this task. It cost about half of what an equivalent grass rope would cost. It's somewhat heavier than a grass rope and perhaps a little stiffer but it may become more flexible on break-in like a grass rope does. Just be sure to add an additional half hitch or overhand knot on the running end.

Pros
  • Highly versatile, suitable for a range of different DIY projects such as knot-tying, gardening and more
Cons
  • May not have adequate elasticity

Sturdy, flexible rope

Bought this to replace flimsy, 3-ply rope that stretched out on the patio during a wind storm. We’re using right now to thread through the bottom grommets of our patio drapes and to tie them back. They look good and have held up in sleet and wind. The knots have held so far! Just ordered some more of the utilitarian workhorse!

Pros
  • Very good rope.
Cons
  • May not be recyclable

Perfect rope for hanging chairs

This rope is perfect it looks so real and it’s so beautiful. I got the 1 inch for my chairs and did a braid splice that I learned to do off of YouTube.

Pros
  • AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVE - Our affordable ProManila / UnManila rope provides a noticeable performance boost over natural manila at a cheaper price point. Great bulk savings for large commercial, construction, or home improvement projects.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in sports and fitness industry

Worked perfectly for tree swing

Had one of those big round tree swings. I used 1ft of this rope to do the job. IT's a fantastic swing. Rope didn't stretch too much. Even if it did there is an adjustment on the swing. This should do well outdoors and last a long time. We've had almost 500 lbs swinging on it. no issues.

Pros
  • Used for DIY project
Cons
  • May melt if exposed to high temperatures

Rope with little stretch and easy on hands

I used this for a fence and was able to stretch it between posts and it stayed basically straight with very little drooping. It is easy to cut if you wrap tightly in tape and cut through the tape and the rope, then melt the ends with a flame.

Pros
  • high quality and looks like hemp....Raises and lowers my Murphey BedVery Satisfied
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in construction

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice heavy duty rope.

I'm going wrap this around a 3 trunk tree that until recently was 4 trunk. The tree guy said eventually the tree will split. This rope will be used along with 3 ss pipe clamps and 6 ss hanger clamps to secure the overlapping ends. Also using pruning sealer on cut part of trunk.

Pros
  • Low-stretch material ensures that it stays tensioned and secure even under heavy loads
Cons
  • May not have adequate performance in extreme temperatures
