Great CD player and transaction!

I used to buy an inexpensive "used" Sony 300 disc player off E-Bay. It worked pretty well for a few months, and then all sorts of problems started to appear and I couldn't even use it. I bought this unit brand new and enjoyed listening to my music again, plus it had an extra 100 disc capacity. What I don't like about this device, which differs from a 300 disc player, is its ability to easily classify music into 8 fields. This is a bit more difficult to accomplish and the manual isn't entirely…

Pros
  • 400 disc changer plays CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs and MP3s

Better with two best stereo components

The Sony 400 Disc Jukebox is a great way to free up shelf space and allow yourself hours of gaming fun. The product really shines when you cascade it with another Sony multi-disc player. We hooked ours up to our 200 disc player and it allows us to play the music randomly with no gaps in the sound. One player plays and the other selects and queues the next song. There's even a feature to fade in the volume of one song and turn on the next for a real DJ sound. There is a keyboard port so you can…

Pros
  • rotary switch; Repeat, Shuffle and Program Play, Last Search
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

It's great to have two of these now!

I can't believe on this iPod day I finally needed two of those awesome 400 disc CD changers to store my collection. I've been using the first one for over 6 years with no problems. And it has never been connected to an uninterruptible power supply and all information about the album is still intact! The only downside of this product is the misleading description I used to buy a second one because it needed to be connected to the first. Specifically text that reads: What's in the box - CD…

Pros
  • Fade in/out between songs, artist name text display and CD info
Cons
  • Long wait

Makes listening to music easier.

This is the first CD changer we have bought. Doesn't matter! We don't have to constantly switch discs and can quickly jump to any disc we need without having to sift through a stack of CDs. My partner has his favorite CDs under his "artistic" name and I have mine under my own name. We can then play our set continuously or randomly at any time. We have 198 more "artistic" slots into which we can program any number of discs. If you have a combination of CD albums and individual tracks, you can…

Pros
  • Analog RCA, digital optical outputs; RCA input syncs unit with other changers
Cons
  • Some flaws
