This product works very well but for my laptop I had to buy this adapter: Dvi Adapter Dvi-d Male to Dvi-i Female ( at least) two different types of DVI, DVI-I and DVI-D connectors. My laptop has the wrong type of cable that came with this switch. You can look at the connector on your computer and see the difference. I doubted it would work for me. I wanted to share my gaming PC's monitor, keyboard and mouse with my work laptop, which is in an IBM docking station.
