Perfect for canning

I've been using mason jars for a few months and love them. This is my first time trying pressure canning fresh salmon in these jars and it turned out great! We made a video of this adventure for our RoseRedHomestead YouTube channel. This 0.5L size is perfect for many of my canning attempts. Weck tulip and mold tins of all sizes have quickly become popular food tins.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • High price

Great product but problems

These glasses are great. The size is perfect for making a small batch of oatmeal overnight or storing items. So why the low rating? My first order came with two broken cans so I returned the order. Now Revain was great at it, but I wanted more cans when I saw and touched a real can! My biggest problem is that the price of these glasses changes from day to day, even from the same seller. They also have small metal clips that are easy to remove (like all Weck tins) so care must be taken when…

Worst lid I've ever had

Most liner sealed jars are designed so that the liner tucks securely into the lip on the underside of the lid You have to put on the thin top of the jar and then place the lid on top and secure with two separate loose clips - all without dislodging the seal. And no, it doesn't work. And the clips are stupid too. When the glass just sits, it looks great. If you have to open and close it for anything, get ready to get angry and wonder what the heck the designers were thinking. Also, be prepared…

The last containers you need to buy!

I started cooking for health reasons. It was too easy for me to eat a light (for me bad) snack. I watched a YouTube video about chia pudding, overnight soaked oatmeal. There are many recipes, but they have one thing in common: we are these glasses! You are really wonderful! They have a very small niche for learning how to snap the lid but it took me 3 seconds to get it right. Dishwasher safe and they come out sanitized! They stack very well in both the fridge and cupboard and look beautiful…

Great starter glasses!

These 0.5L Weck Jars can have many other good uses, but I bought mine specifically for making and storing sourdough. I have tried several glasses from other manufacturers. These jars are superior to others for the following reasons: 1. These Weck jars have straight walls without an inturned "shoulder" near the neck of the jar where sourdough and flour splashes tend to build up in indirect-walled jars to accumulate and cause bacterial contamination, making cleaning difficult and reducing…
