Review on Poloniex by Call Me Howie

How many people have had withdrawal problems on this platform? I would guess it's in the thousands, maybe the tens of thousands. It's like a roach motel- come on in, good luck getting out. This platform used to have the motto- "They're always your coins, always"- or something like that. They need to change their motto to -"All your coins are belong to us". Let me explain. I went to withdraw STEEM on June something 2017. Around that time they started having "Wallet in Maintenance" prompts popping up for STEEM. So, when they took the popup down, I hit the withdraw button.....and, nothing. I waited around two days and then put a ticket in. I get a canned response. So, I get on their then famous Trollbox and ask an Admin to check into it. He types back something like- "You're problem pal". I see that others are writing to the Admin with similar withdraw problems. It becomes something of a wave of complaints coming in, and then....they shut down the Trollbox. I put in another Ticket. Same canned response comes in. Huh.... Fast forward to over 1 year later, sometime around July 2018. I finally get a response from support that I must now do KYC and then they will "look into" my problem. Are you kidding me? I joined a platform with no KYC requirements. In fact I was among Poloniex's very first customers. And now, they hold my funds hostage behind these new requirements. Unbelievable. I write back to support that I will not comply with their new requirements, that I never agreed to, to have them resolve a year plus old problem. They write back something like- "We will consider this matter resolved then". Resolved? You have my property, my STEEM. It has never been returned to me. So, again, resolved? I don't think so. And, I am not alone. I have heard many many similar problems from people who used to use this platform. Beware.
