  • Website loads slowly, compared to other cryptocurrency exchange sites. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Private key management is centralized, exposing funds to custodial risks. No advanced order types. Does not accept fiat currency. Was hacked in 2014. However, the exchange fully refunded the affected users. Requires users to create accounts and verify their identity for high-volume activity.

However Poloniex is a industry leader in altcoin trading, many coins not available on major exchanges can be traded on Poloniex. . Update the exchange with good coming coins to make it grow.. A good exchange and trading instruments are good.

A good exchange and trading instruments are good. Poloniex is certainly not for beginners. You need to already have cryptocurrency to start trading on Poloniex. However Poloniex is a industry leader in altcoin trading, many coins not available on major exchanges can be traded on Poloniex. Poloniex very often is DDOS’ed during peak trading hours, and customer support is not very responsive.

So since getting into Crypto around 2 years ago I have used my fair share of exchanges and in that time I have used some great ones and some not so great ones. I have to say that poloniex is by far the most user friendly system to date. The smoothness of transactions from buying/selling and withdrawing/depositing funds was a process I really liked.
