The mounting plate screws are not long enough to attach the plate to the floor.

The box was installed in the floor and there were many cable routing options. When we tried to install the pad using the #6-32 screws, they weren't long enough to attach the pad to the floor box. Very frustrating as this should be the easiest step.

Meets our needs

We couldn't find many options for white floor sockets. I chose this one not sure how well it would work with carpet even after reading that it could be installed over carpet. It seems like an adjustable box for current location wouldn't work well. This spout is not adjustable and padding was needed to ensure stability on thicker carpets. In general, the project was a success, the store works perfectly. Since plastic isn't usually as strong as metal, I try not to walk on it or put a furniture…
