I own two Littmanns (a classic and a lightweight) and initially I only bought this stethoscope as an inexpensive spare but I was so happy with the quality that I came right back and bought a second one just because. It’s not at lightweight as I would have liked, but it’s definitely not a game-changer considering the the price. I’ve been a vet tech for almost 21st. I’ve always had littmann and I decided to get a different one after I read these reviews. I’m so glad I did. This stethoscope did not disappoint! It’s better than the Littmanns I’ve ever had! I use to have the $45 Littmann w/the pediatric side (went through 2 of those cause they got stiff from being around my neck). Last one only lasted 2 years, if that. I love this new stethoscope! I think it’s as good as the Dr’s Littmann cardiac one!

After owning a Littmann Classic II for 2-3 years the tubing became very rigid. I put it in storage for 2 and 1/2 years and recently brought it out again to use it. I noticed large cracks in the tubing nearly rendering the stethoscope useless. After consulting with Littmann I found out that it would cost nearly as much to send in my stethoscope and have the tubing replaced as it would cost to buy a new stethoscope ($60 vs $80). 4.5 rounding up to 5. I used a Littman for many many years and decided to give this stethoscope a try after my second Littman broke. The sound quality of this stethoscope is pretty close to a Littman. The build quality is quite solid as well, not as heavy as a Littman, but not exactly super-light. The lifetime parts replacement is a pretty sweet deal. So far, I think this is a good purchase. Maybe I will write a long term review later on.

I want to give this thing five stars but I still have to try it on patients first. However, for testing it on myself and my cat/dog it works great and can hear heartbeats quite well. Very loud and crisp sounds. I found out that my ear wax blocked off the sound so I had to adjust my head in a different way so I could get better acuity. Excellent clarity of cardiac sounds. Excellent seal at the ears for eliminating background noise. Though they sent me the wrong color, I dont want to send it back, because I look forward to using it in clinic.

First off, it arrived on time as expected. I had ordered another from a different vendor and it got lost so they issued a refund. I actually like this one better.It's lightweight enough for me and will serve my purposes as a CMA well.Overall very pleased with my purchase and the service.

Just a heads up the nursing students, EMT's etc - this is what you want.Just as nice as the pricier scopes. Sounds just as good, you can afford a spare with the difference in price.The customer service from the company is superb.

Most people I know spend more on Littmann's scopes. I think very highly of this scope, and it is a really good value. I have a Littmann Master Cardiology, which isn't much better for daily use. I certainly think it's appropriate for the majority of users.
