Better for wide angle cameras and fast time lapses

I give Kamalapsa 3 stars because it's a good product for the price but it doesn't meet my needs. In fact, this is a well-designed modification of the egg timer. It didn't meet my needs for two main reasons. First, the timer speed is too fast for my slow motion needs. It covers 90 degrees in 15 minutes, which I think only works with very fast time-lapse photography. I would prefer a 1.5 or 2 hour timer. Second, the top half of the section has some wobble, which can be an issue in gusty winds…

Broken it fell apart:

Only used it once with a mobile phone and when I was done I left Camplaps on the shelf. Picked it up the other day and the lower giza has fallen off completely. This item has never been dropped or even used in practice. Thank God I didn't travel with him and didn't depend on him, otherwise I would have failed. The only reason I can say it's defective is because that little screw fell out and I've been trying to put it back together for over an hour and it just won't hold together. I wouldn't…

. To be fair and say it should be more like 3 stars. 5 Stars

I gave this product 3 stars but I want to be fair and say it should be closer to 3.5 stars. This is the simplest of the rotating platforms for camera placement. It works very well and I am very happy with the price. The quality of the material used really lives up to expectations. It's a little cheap, but not terrible. I will say that under no circumstances will I suggest or recommend you to install this on your DSLR. I have a Garmin VIRB and it fits great and I have to trust that the GoPro…

Perfect for all my needs.

Finally a break in the rain in Seattle to try out my Kamalaps 4 a few days ago. Worked fantastic. I have an iPhone 6s and use an adapter to mount the iPhone onto the Camalaps and then mount the Camalaps on a tripod (which gives more flexibility to capture the desired height, angle, tilt, etc.). I like how I can set the Kamalaps at 90 degrees for 15 minutes, or 180 degrees for 30 minutes, or anywhere in between. A 360 degree sweep (1 hour) would be great on top of a building or mountain. I look…

Good for the price in tripod heads

Works well for what it is essentially a glorified egg timer. The downside is that it's cheap. At this price you should expect an all-plastic construction, and that's exactly what you get. However, it's not hard plastic as you might imagine. Rather, it is quite soft and therefore somewhat flexible. This is the main disadvantage. Even when mounted on a tripod, camera shake becomes an issue simply because this flimsy product is now sandwiched between your expensive tripod and camera. I use a…

Not just the glorified egg timer

I used to buy an egg timer and modified it for GoPro panning time lapse. I was looking for something that can support the weight of my RX10 II camera and I came across this. Build quality is good, but nothing special. It's small and light enough that I can toss it in my DSLR backpack along with other gear without even realizing it's there. The ability to attach a tripod to the bottom is a huge plus! Operation is very simple and requires no batteries. Just spin and 360 degrees is 60 minutes, 180
