Great little handheld camera

I'm serious about shooting with a big digital SLR and all lenses. I wanted a small camera for personal use when I didn't want to be lugging around all the other gear. This camera fully meets all requirements. Sure, there are tradeoffs in low-light performance and the ability to control every aspect of photography, but that's not what this camera is for anyway. Great little camera

I've had DSLRs for years and needed a P&S camera to take snaps. This camera was the perfect choice for me. It is so small that you can easily take it with you anywhere. The thing is, I can take this camera with me and shoot anywhere and for any reason, while I can't and won't with professional equipment. There are a few features I particularly like including manual controls, widescreen mode, time. Time-lapse mode…

Great ultra compact point and shoot camera!

If you're looking for a handy, easy-to-carry compact camera that's ready to use right out of the box and can learn advanced features later, this is the camera for you! It's small enough to carry in your pocket but heavy enough to prove its quality, comes with a wrist strap to protect it from falling, memory card, battery with charger, cables and software to connect to one Computers and photo printers, as well as manuals with clear and concise instructions on how to get started quickly and then…

  • Rugged finish

2nd owner - fantastic camera.

I just looked at the receipt for my stolen Canon SD1100IS and it turns out I bought it in January 2009. So about 3 years later the "perfect storm” happened. 1) We used it to take family photos for Christmas more carefully [even with a tripod and planning shots] than ever before. 2) My SD port on my laptop wasn't working, so the usual "just in case" photo backup didn't happen before we drove home. 3) Last but not least, our van was robbed for the first time while the camera was in the "all for…
