Useful to have! - Aquarium pumps and filters

Still working very well. I would buy and use again and plan to make this a regular part of my stock and fish care products. I have cichlids and many of them do a lot of housework. This product really helps with that. I ran out of ammonia, lost half a tank before realizing it had built up so quickly. I've tried everything you can get from the pet store. I got it in the mail, added it and the next day combined with a 20% water change we were back to zero. Another tank I tested before using was…

You can take this I continue

I use and love so many Seachem products that I bought this rather large container of denitrate knowing it would be great. I put it in a reactor with phosban medium and using a small pump reduced the flow rate according to the instructions. I've been using it for about 5 months now. Maybe my expectations were too high, I don't know. I understand the nitrogen cycle. I have successfully treated 6 aquariums with ammonia, used reverse osmosis water and restored the exact mineral balance my fish need

This stuff works, but there's a catch.

I have been struggling with high nitrate levels (50-80ppm) on my 90 gallon reef for a while. Despite regular maintenance and frequent water changes, I have never been able to get my nitrate levels to the desired level. I decided to try this product. deNitrate works with virtually no oxygen by creating an anaerobic bacterial environment. These oxygen-poor bacteria consume nitrates and convert them into harmless nitrogen gas. This requires the environment to be in an extremely low water current…
