It's a Denso make no mistake

I just bought a set of 4 for my 05 Civic and they work great. When I make a comparison with the originals I've taken off, the design looks EXACTLY the same, so I wouldn't be surprised if Denso made originals that still ran 190,000 miles. However, they are significantly cheaper than Honda brands.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Not automatic

Good deal best in ignition parts

If you have a 2004 Honda Civic that uses these ignition coils, your best bet is to just buy Denso ignition coils, oxygen sensors, etc if you can find a decent price for them. Denso (formerly known as NipponDenso) is what Honda usually factory installs on its vehicles. I've bought parts from other brands, even very well known American and European parts companies, and there are subtle differences in how their products are made that make them work worse or actually fail faster.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Another NGV Honda driver.

Update. 16 months made. maybe 12,000km. At that price, just buy the cheaper ones and change them when you change the oil on natural gas vehicles. And yes, my cooling system is working properly. As with the other GX driver's in-depth review, I had similar issues. Many new parts installed in hopes of solving my problems. The non-OEM coils only lasted 10,000 miles so they couldn't be. The dreaded P3000 random misfire code. The dealer even fiddled with the car for 5 weeks. I might have had a few…

Definitely worth it (OEM part) 2005 Honda Civic Dx

Okay first I want to say I've been to 3 different mechanics about random/multiple engine misfire code (P0302). No mechanic could fix the problem. Then I met a mechanic who recommended I change the spark plugs and ignition coils because I had Bosch parts installed. I had no idea it matters what brand these Honda engines use because I'm not a Honda fan. I replaced the ignition coils and spark plugs as recommended by the OEM, a Denso brand. These coils were of great importance. Now I have a nice…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

I am replacing all 4 coils on my 2002 Honda GX NGV (30520PVJA01) OEM part number 09G16J PVJ DENSO 099700-114. I have purchased non-OEM parts for this car in the past and would like to share what I have learned. An OEM part will not last as long in a natural gas engine as in a petrol engine for the following reasons, explained by a workshop manager who works with a Honda GX. The head of a natural gas engine gets hot and this heat causes the coil to fail. The plastic on the coil will oxidize and…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
