Buyer's regret is good for the cabin

They are made from the highest quality plastic on planet earth. It's not plastic that bends. This plastic is dense and brittle, don't spend your hard-earned cash on it

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Something different

Do not buy! the best in the cabin

i have it on my chevy k1500 93 years old. This lasted 3 months. When I tried to open the door yesterday, the handle broke in half. Don't waste your money on it. I didn't use excessive force or anything like that. Just complete rubbish.

Pros
  • satisfied so far
Cons
  • there are flaws

Fragile plastic, broke on a cold day

Control lever broke on first use on a 20 degree day. Normal use, without excessive force or unnatural strain. It has probably been tested less than 50 times but now needs to be replaced again. Cheap plastic with low tensile strength - avoid!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Ordinary

Read reviews before buying

The door handle works but the locks do not. I can no longer use the internal automatic door lock. I bought this because native door handle dribbles in the cabin. The locks work fine until I install these. The inside handle now works, but the door lock on that side of my truck does not work.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Can be replaced

PLASTIC!: Door handles

I've had it for ONE MONTH. TODAY IT IS BROKEN. The handle is PLASTIC, not ORIGINAL metal. Two days after installation it started making a creaking NOISE. And this afternoon when I was trying to get out of my truck. HANDLE BROKEN! So I had to open the window and open the door from the outside. DO NOT BUY THESE! there is garbage

Pros
  • Cool item
Cons
  • A few little things

look for another brand!

total crap. I broke 3 of these last year. I have a working '92 Chevy truck and drive back and forth all day. This junk uses a plastic flipper grip instead of the original metal, they break in the same place every time, right at the hinge. If you don't want to replace them every 6 months, you can save yourself the hassle.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • dubious purchase for old people

perfect for interior

This item was spot on. It was a direct replacement, good quality and exactly the same as the original. Drilling out the original rivets was fine, but installing the new steel rivets with a manual rivet gun was very difficult. It was doable but my hands were a bit sore for the rest of the day. I wholeheartedly recommend Dorman Auto Parts as a starting point for finding what you need.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons

Fits good. Seems a bit cheap

This part fits my dad's 1989 GMC Sierra perfectly. The only downside is that the plastic looks a bit cheap. However, the part we pulled out was just as brittle, and the plastic parts don't support much weight outside of the attachment points (which are reinforced). All in all, this was a good purchase and I would recommend it to anyone with a broken driver's side interior door handle on an early 90's GM pickup.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
