This adapter is metal and looks really nice but doesn't look like it's made properly. I could have a Sony 24-70 on the camera if I could. It was very crowded. However, my Metabones adapter for Canon lenses absolutely would not fit no matter what. It was significantly cheaper than the Fotodiox adapter, so I gave it a try. I sent it back and now have to buy a much more expensive adapter.

Really can't buy at this price. My new Zeiss 24-70mm f/4 lens is a bit heavier than other lenses I've used and wobbled a little too much if I found it to my liking. This fixed the issue to a degree, but there's still a little circular wobble if that makes sense. I've heard that other replacement parts are a little thicker and eliminate the entire game, but they're also $50 so I'm happy with that.

Likes: - This metal bracket completely eliminates rotation play on my Sony A6000 when rotating the rather tight Sony E 18-135 zoom ring. With the original Sony plastic mount, I feel a slight click when I quickly turn the zoom ring on the Sony E 18-135 left or right. Received this today and was surprised at how light it is. It's not brass or copper like most other fasteners. I admit my mistake in assuming it will be brass when it doesn't say anywhere. Judging by the weight, it's aluminum. I'm not sure what the Sony A7 bracket OEM metal part is, but I don't think it's aluminum. The whole point of the swap is to remove the plastic part of the mount and use a stronger metal to make the lens mount more secure. I don't have a lot of faith in it and right now…

My expectations were low. I understand that there are issues with mass processing something like this, and at this price point, there's more likely to be inconsistency. But the installation went smoothly and everything seems to be working fine. There is still some play in the lens, but much less than before, and all the problems that come with it. The nightmare could be over! The screwdriver that came with it worked great. I'll update this review if necessary after taking the camera for a walk.
