Great product, works great, only thing I didn't like was that it's made in Taiwan. It's frustrating to have a product that was made in Detroit and is now made overseas, but it's a great product nonetheless.

This thing is freaking cool. I put it on my little jeep. It's like oil. I have to readjust the clutch from time to time to make sure everything is working for me because it's so smooth. I reconfigured when I removed the lid. I am very happy with my purchase. The lunch box in front disappears when I save something.

This is the next best thing to a true off-road locker. The only downside to this is that when a tire lifts off the ground, power is not properly transmitted. You can get around this by using the brakes to transfer power when a wheel is off the ground. In the attached video I apply the brakes to transfer torque to a spinning wheel that is off the ground. I bought a Truetrac carrier for my 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ and I love it. I mounted them both front and rear and had no problems with them. They are not as good as Air Lockers, for example, but if they are significantly cheaper. If you are reinstalling your diffs and need new carrier housings, skip the ones available and go straight to those. Pro Tip: Keep the Dana 35 C-clips, Eaton does not ship with replacement clips. I had to sand down the edges of the factory clips to fit the case.

I was a bit startled when I saw the production source - being a professional mechanic he happened to come to this part of the world. But quality, fit and functionality met all expectations. It was not "tidy up" carelessly, everything was delivered clean and in a good box. Only time will tell, but in normal driving it works great and is almost invisible until called out, which is exactly what it's supposed to do. By passive lock I mean that the axle will lock and stop if the wheels on either side are spinning. I didn't want to spend money on more complex locking systems to install on the Dana35 axle. If I were a hardcore climber I would switch to Dana44 and otherwise spend a lot of money. This mechanism works really well on steep climbs over loose gravel and mud, locking things up when needed.
