Great Geoboard - my new review

Excellent product. The bands are latex so I would suggest replacing them in case of allergies. Well made, good size for small hands. Cards are small so if you want to have a template to assist in building the design, they are not to scale with the board. Very nice quality. Looks beautiful. Will buy again.

Pros
  • Product is more than we expected. If is built of sturdy wood and the pegs are in tight.
Cons
  • The number of rubber bands included with the geoboard may not be sufficient and additional bands may need to be purchased separately

Pegs are too close together and too many

This geoboard works, but the pegs are very all and close together, they don't line up with our math curriculums pages for the geoboard. Ok for my toddler but we can't use it as intended.

Pros
  • 100%Durable Wood
Cons
  • The limited number of pegs on the board may limit the number of shapes that can be created, making it less stimulating for older children

Damaged and incomplete.

The box came damaged, one of the pegs was badly bent, and there were no cards in the box! Very unhappy. The rubber bands may snap during use, potentially causing injury to young children.

Pros
  • My daughter enjoyed this toy set, especially during lockdown.
Cons
  • The rubber bands may snap during use, potentially causing injury to young children

Prefect for preschoolers

My son’s teacher had this in her wishlist and I have happy to supply it for the classroom. They kids love using it. I may even purchase another so that we can have one at home.

Pros
  • This is a great geo board.
Cons
  • The wooden board may warp or crack over time due to exposure to humidity or changes in temperature

Good creative toy for fine motor skills.

This isn't a bad set but it's not transparent from the description exactly what it is. You receive a small wooden board with small metal pegs, a bag of different sized rubber bands, and little cards that show different patterns that you can make with the rubber bands. The cards and rubber bands come in a small plastic bag. My 5 year old son is really likes this and it can be used to make pretty much any design you want. My biggest issue is that without a good way to store the cards and rubber…

Pros
  • ❤Meterial &Size:This geoboard is an upright square lattice of 64 pcs nails, and specile umbrella-head pins keep rubber bands in place, the board measures 7 x 7 x 0.6in, weigh 0.77 Lb; Non-toxic Wood and metal ,safety standard ASTM, CPISA, EN71, CPC.
Cons
  • The wood used in the construction of the board may not be sustainably sourced, which could deter some environmentally conscious parents from purchasing it

Sturdy and Fun! - my new review

I purchased the set for my classroom and am pleased with quality- I can’t wait to use them with my class. A Geoboard is used to explore basic concepts in plane geometry such as perimeter, area and the characteristics of triangles and other polygons. It consists of a physical board with a certain number of nails half driven in, around which are wrapped geo bands that are made of rubber. This product was great. The board felt very firm and secure and seem to hold up well to a five-year-old…

Cons
  • The geoboard may not appeal to children who prefer digital or screen-based play, limiting its appeal to a specific niche of children

Great for fine motor

These are such a great activity for preschool age children! They are very sturdy and safe, I do feel they are a little overpriced but still a great addition to any early learning program.

Pros
  • My children love being creative when making the geo board. Great for concentration!
Cons
  • The geoboard's design may not be visually appealing to some children, making it less likely for them to want to engage with it

High Quality Geoboard

High quality. Love it! It's about 7x7 inches. Solid wood. Pegs are 8 rows, 8 columns. It came with 24 pattern cards. Kids use the rubber bands to mimic the shapes/designs on the cards. It helps motor function, encourages creativity and is great for teaching the importance of details. If the rubberbands are not on the exact spot, the design will obviously look different than the photo. We use Right start math program. This is compatible with the exercises.

Pros
  • My son loves this and my daughter always tries to take it from him. We will be buying another ASAP!
Cons
  • The small size of the geoboard may limit the complexity of the designs that can be made, making it less engaging for older children

My Six Year Old Loves This!

I purchased this as one of many birthday gifts for my six year old and he loves it. He was happy especially because it’s an item he plays with in his classroom. I remember playing with this as a kid and had to get it for him. It comes with an assortment of cards but he really loves using his imagination and creating his own designs.

Pros
  • ❤Sturdy &Durable:All of the boards felt very firm and secure, No sharp edges will not scratch the baby, hold up well when playing with them. The rubber bands were also strong and won’t have any of them break easily. Accompanying your child to play can also increase your relationship with your child.
Cons
  • The geoboard may be difficult for children with motor skill challenges such as arthritis or cerebral palsy to use
