They worked well for my purpose. I made candles for Christmas and my husband used them to make beard wax. Only 4 stars because some were scratched although I was able to cover most of the scratches with my stickers and some were very lightly dented. Otherwise they worked for what I needed and were reasonably priced.

I ordered these for my candle making when I couldn't get this size from my parent company. The price was ok, the size is exactly what I was looking for, however the lids are a problem. They either fall off right away, or they are so tight that they won't come loose. One candle had to be thrown away because the lid could not be removed. This is even after my husband tried to pull it off. Fasten the lids and I will happily order again.

Obviously even a little dilution of vanillin in aromatherapy oil is no good here - they ruined all my lovely candles! Tons of potentially lost sales. I love these for candle making. They are seamless and require no special preparation before pouring wax. I've ordered 2 boxes and so far have had no issues with OOB dents or tops that are too loose. One jar had a lid that didn't close completely, but that was about it. I don't think they look cheap but of course they are metal and not glass so they are generally not as aesthetically pleasing as glass containers. Be careful, these jars heat up ridiculously fast. They're great if you're new to candle making considering how cheap they are, but you get what you pay for. There are no raised protective legs on the underside, allowing the candle jar to rest squarely on the surface it is standing on. I gave my sister a candle from this and she left a burn mark on her wooden dresser. My mother said it cracked the surface it was on when she burned one of them.
