I installed this new water pump along with a Gates 33910 thermostat housing on a 2003 5.3 liter Chevrolet Suburban with no problems. Both the water pump and thermostat housing come with a thermostat housing o-ring. So if you're using your original thermostat housing, there's no need to order a new O-ring. While replacing the pump, I also replaced the radiator, upper/lower hoses, ribbed and A/C belts, and thermostat.
