Great light to shine through

I bought this to see how my balls are developing. I hatch guinea fowl, chickens and ducks and it is important to monitor their development so unfertilized eggs can be removed to reduce the risk of infection. This product has a rubber ring that helps focus all the light through the egg for a great view. Small and handy. Good product.

Pros
  • Light sources
Cons
  • Some bugs

Not bright enough. for Laboratory and Scientific Products

This is a convenient egg lamp as it is not mains powered. Otherwise it's just not bright enough. This is normal with white eggs, otherwise you don't really see much. I came to Revain looking for another egg loom and thought I should write a review as it might save some people some money. I was director of a large hatchery and I know what to expect.

Pros
  • Laboratory Instruments and Equipment
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Great tool for exactly what it's for!

I (this Account Owner's daughter, so this is not my real name) have recently started breeding pigeons and, like chickens, part of the process involves candling the eggs! Considering my hands are very shaky and I also want to photograph the progress of the eggs, it's really not ideal to carry 2 phones - one for a flashlight and one for a photo. The egg didn't want to stay on the flashlight part of the phone and it was very difficult to get a clear picture while trying to keep the egg in place…

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • I will add later
