Completely sufficient: punching and cutting

I sanded the edges a bit to remove small bumps, but that's quite acceptable. I guess some people might get a bad cast, but the material itself is strong and will take hits from my 30 ounce hammer through 10 ounce layers of leather.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • expensive

The teeth are bent: Manufacturing

When I gave the first light blow with the hammer, some of the teeth were bent. I'm hesitant to use the others but they seem a bit thicker than the one that's bent. I would send it back but I think there will be a lot more hassle than I'm willing to accept now with Covid 19

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Inexpensive - Embossed

I have similar flat tires in other sizes that cost me over $20 each. This whole set costs half and looks solid. The tweezers are straight and even. They're easy to use and make nice, clean holes. The handles are a little shorter than I'm used to, but not so much that they're difficult to use. I had to cut the burr off one of the handles, but I'm not complaining considering the price.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Appearance

Return - Poor Quality

Unfortunately I had to send them back. Although they seemed strong enough and the right size and spacing, they were difficult to work with. Each tine on each side was serrated, apparently due to machining. Since the teeth were not smooth, it was IMPOSSIBLE to pull them out of the skin. They need to be smoothed out before they work and I didn't want to spend time sanding and polishing to get them working.

Pros
  • Everything OK! I'll write
Cons
  • later

Good steel but poor edge finish.

Punches nice, straight, well-aligned holes (diamond shape), but the edge on the teeth is poor. There are uneven processing ribs that have not been filed and act like burrs, making them very difficult to pull out of the leather. The steel looks high quality and I haven't bent anything yet. It's probably a decent price if you just want to try leather stitching, but expect some extra work to smooth out the treatment ribs if you want to keep your sanity.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Just what I need for a leather project

punches are sharp, thick enough for 9-11 oz leather, and different sizes make it easy to prep holes for sewing straight or curved stitches. I particularly like how the cuts it punches into the leather are angled, which I think makes the seam stronger than other punches I've used that make parallel cuts. I used it to make an archery quiver. The pictures I have included show the effect of using this product and not the product itself. I should also mention that the hole punches in the first…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • cord is shorter than others

It says carbon steel, but it's really just mild steel.

I received this set of piercings and they were great! First. After several knife sheaths, I noticed that the pins, especially on the 4 and 6 irons, were starting to move and bend. They were easy to bend back. But once the steel starts to bend, it becomes easier to bend it over and over again. I remembered the description saying it was "carbon steel". This implies at least an average carbon, 0.4% -> 0.6%. Hardened steel. But that's not the case. I normalized the iron in my forge and then…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • old
