Page Repair Miracle

This product is excellent for repairing the pages of damaged books, although I wouldn't use it to reinforce the spine as it appears quite fragile. Still a great product!

Works well on antique book bindings.

I used this to reinforce the inner loop of a 300 year old book. Worked well and wasn't intrusive. I'm not sure what a professional book repairman would use, but I've seen some pretty bad attempts at using tape and other unsuitable materials for old books. The tape separated easily from the substrate on this hinged tape.

Good frame choice.

If you're trying to frame something fragile and need extra clear double-sided tape, this is a great choice. It's very soft and sticky, and the only way to apply it easily is to roughly and carelessly tear it, then peel off the backing with a razor blade. If you crumple it, you'll never take it apart again, so you have to be careful. But once applied it works great.

As there are several types it would be nice if the photo matched the product

This ribbon was not the same as in the picture. The strap turned out to be fabric, but not the same as the photo. Since there are several types, it would be nice if the photo matches the product. I'm a little disappointed as I thought it was a thicker linen (as shown in the photo). I was cheated on.

Ideal, but you have to get a feeling for the operation.

Figuring out how to separate the fabric from the backing is a bit tricky, but once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. Here's a hint. hold it between your thumb and forefinger. Bring your fingers together, then move them slightly in opposite directions. The ledge will rise and you can take it. Of course, it is advisable to wash your hands thoroughly beforehand to prevent acid from penetrating.

Extra Fine Linen Ribbon

I ordered ribbon to make Hawaiian mulberry fabric art. I liked that the tape wasn't acidic and malleable enough to not damage the art. However, I did not realize that it is so thin and not very durable. When I hung the picture from the V-Loops, the strap almost came loose under the weight of the fabric, even after significant reinforcement. I'm not an experienced framer myself, but I think I might choose a more durable option if it were available. It's a little hard to pull out, it helps if you
