Disappointed I couldn't stand it

Installed it in my 2014 BMW 328i and everything worked fine for 2 weeks but kept turning on and off because the faucets weren't tight enough. Opened the rear view mirror several times to put it back in. I even used tape and the included zip ties to secure it but still not good enough. Sometimes it worked when changing lanes over a speed bump or even something as small as the small lane markings on a freeway. I originally hooked up a V1 radar,

Expensive but works

Expensive! But it works! I have it with my Rexing VP1 in my 2016 Buick Enclave. I connected the 4th wire from the left on the bottom row to the key connector, the wire is the yellow/black wire (12 volt key source). I originally wired it to the under dash fuse box on the passenger side, but that fuse box is always hot, there are no key sources, so my camera was always on. And since my Rexing power supply was already connected to this area, I routed the MirrorTap cable there. I removed my fuse…

Pros
  • MirrorTap consists of 24 gauge wire with a built in 2 amp fuse and black flexible braid. The total cable length with taps is 15 inches. The cable length without taps is 13 inches.
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Works great

I used this to install a Valentine One on my 2018 Mazda CX-9. It worked great - much easier than trying to run a cable under the dash. In my car the cable is attached to the back of the mirror and I couldn't figure out how to unplug it (without damaging something). With other wires I don't need it. I connected the ground wire that goes into the back of the wire one wire at a time and used my multimeter to see if it was ground (0 volts between the wire and the bolt on the frame and low…

Pros
  • This new MTX Series MirrorTap includes all four coupler size pairs unlike any competitor's power cords
Cons
  • High price
