Great camera for beginners.

This is a great camera for me. I can point and shoot or get a little creative and explore the ancient art of photography. My camera is set and aimed at an open field behind my house where I take photos of the many wildlife that feed there (hunters and prey). The lens is a good combination to develop photography skills.

Pros
  • 3.2 inch 921k dot LCD
Cons
  • Much

Great entry-level FX body

I've had the D610 for about a year now and absolutely love it. When I first started shooting weddings I knew I had to go full frame. I upgraded from the D7100 and love that it uses the same battery and memory card. It's easy, which I also love. Personally, I wish I had gone with the D750. It's a bit pricey, but if you're into photography and weddings, I think it's worth it.

Pros
  • 39 point AF system (9 crossovers)
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Value: 5 Stars, Overall: 4 Stars

For the money you pay, you get an amazing sensor that can preserve detail in a variety of shadows and highlights. The controls and interface are logical and fluid. Great battery life and dual SD card slots are a big bonus. If I could ask for anything else it would be: Faster burst speed 1080p video at 60fps (30fps max) Rotatable screen Those things aside, it's perfect for my needs. . I would say this is the best full frame camera in terms of value for money. If you're looking to upgrade your…

"Buy Nikon D610 " for digital cameras

Phenomenal camera. My last was D40x. This D610 looks like I just finished my tutorial. Lots more features, better features, better control, the list goes on. I'm glad I started with this D40x as an entry-level model to learn without wasting exercises. All the more fortunate to have chosen this superb D610 as my next step. Wouldn't recommend for a beginner (too much camera and too much money). Just like I wouldn't have bought a Ferrari when I was 16 ;) But sharp-witted photographers - don't…

Pros
  • 24.3 MP full frame CMOS sensor
Cons
  • Shorter cable than other models

Excellent full frame camera

Excellent full frame camera. Switched from Nikon D5200. All my photos are now taken with this camera and a Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens (fixed lens). It could be better in low light as you seem to get a bit of noise when you increase the ISO, but if you plan on shooting in good light you'll get great images. If you plan on shooting in low light, as many weddings tend to do, you should probably go for the d750. This camera was within my budget and was a great purchase that really upped my game. Recommend

Pros
  • ISO 100 6400 expandable to 25600
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

A full size Nikon camera with a fantastic sensor at a great price!

This camera is awesome! So many features that you could write a book about them for a very good price. Key Features: Dual 2 card slots, 24MP full-frame FX sensor (you can zoom these photos to billboard size), optical viewfinder with 100% viewfinder coverage, light weight for a well-built semi-pro weatherproof camera, beautiful 3.2 inch LCD. Outstanding 1080/30p or 24p video capabilities plus 720/60, 50 and 30p slow motion or HD mpeg 4 avch, 6 fps continuous, Nikon's brilliant high performance…

Pros
  • Single axis plane in viewfinder, dual axis plane in real time
Cons
  • So-so

Great camera, bad packaging

Works great. It's more like the old film cameras I had. I hated the DX format, it was confusing and never felt right to me. I also find that the colors are more vibrant with this camera than with my d90. Both lenses are working great so far. They are fast and sharp, just like zoom lenses. I can't wait until it's 110 degrees out so I can go outside and take pictures. I have to complain about the crappy packaging, Revane. I bought it together with the accessories that are sold separately. They…

Pros

NIKON D610 SHUTTER MECHANISM FAILURE ON 2 DIFFERENT BODY. Is that LEMON?

I bought this case in 2014 (paid about $1800) and after about a year and a half the shutter mechanism failed. Since it was out of warranty, I had to pay $268 to have it repaired. So I figured, well, the number of shutters was 90,000, that seemed reasonable. During the repair I thought ok I need another case so I'll just grab another D610 so I don't have to buy other batteries and I already knew where all the settings are in this model. I got a new case, then I got the refurbished one back and…

  • 2,016 pixel RGB TTL meter sensor

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

In general, for this money a fairy tale. The lens is universal, distortion is easily corrected in lightroom. The camera itself is fine, moderately fast autofocus, if you do not take off your sportswear. then no more is needed. The quality is excellent, when switching from a crop, it's just heaven. I advise. Has pros: Fullframe. Great resolution. Large range of working ISO. Up to 2,000 you can shoot without fear for quality. Video shooting with manual settings is available, you can set the video
