Cheap, perfect fit, underpowered motor, fits 2004 Yukon XL SLT

It fits just like the old one, can't tell how long this part will last but I can tell you about the motor. with the original controller almost twice as much as with the new one. He also seems to have trouble raising the window. I recommend lubricating the rubber grooves that the window glass slides over to allow the weaker motor to raise the window again.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Not sure

Before starting work, seal the window glass with tape.

I bought this part for my 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, passenger side liftgate. The old window grille came off with no problems. The new one went in with no problems. The only little thing was that in the upper left part there is a threaded bolt, which is only a few turns long. When I lowered the window the bolt pulled out my speaker wire so I had to do a simple wire repair and make sure any loose wires for the speaker and window motor were hidden and secured. *** Make sure your window is taped…

well made and easy to install

The new controller is well made and easy to install - if you know the secret screw in the center of the door under the right side of the armrest - you don't need to remove the speaker or the door handle either. Just peel off the plastic and avoid the black sticky glue - I inserted a piece of #17 wire in front of the rubber window seal, passed it under the glass and back up - the other end went through the top of the door. (by piercing it with a rag) and back down - and then I twisted the ends…

Openly tell me. for window regulators and motors

I wasn't sure what it would contain, but I paid attention to what I was doing and it was easy. I didn't want to include it because it said "Made in China" but figured the OEM was probably sent to GM as well. Basically there are 4 nuts and a bolt to install the unit once you have removed the door panel and plastic protection from the door. Electrical connections are all direct. Physically it looked a little different, but it was cosmetic. The engine also looks different, but over time it will…

The sound of the motor seems to be struggling to open the window, see update

The fit was perfect! The window rolls down easily! Seems to be having trouble opening the window. We cleaned the rubber groove through which the window runs with soapy water and an old toothbrush. Did not help. The engine still sounds like it's struggling. We noticed that the front of the window always pushed something into the rubber slide before it started to rise. We made the adjustment by loosening the window retainers and then raising the front and back of the window and then re-tightening

  • Free for educational purposes

This job is pretty easy. Be careful

I couldn't compare the new unit to the old one before installing it. The original unit has an electrical connector attached to the engine. When the unit was installed and I tried to connect the cords, there was no outlet. I started uninstalling it, but before I took it out, I noticed that the new device had a connector at the end of a long set of wires. Once I found the plug, all I had to do was plug it into an outlet and plug it back in. Another reviewer stated that there was noise at the…
