I only do white dots on black glass but the result is unacceptable.

My white dots and round shapes are drying with a depression in the middle. I put on two coats and it's still the same. I heated one piece as directed and no change when you heat it. I used brushes of different shapes to apply, the result is the same. The glass I apply this to is a very pure black, as smooth as possible. I need the dotted glass for the monarch butterfly that I am making from stained glass and this will be the outer edge of the butterfly. The dents in the dots are not what I want

Pebeo is a product that I will definitely use again!

These colors are amazing! I really saved my skin this Christmas when I decided to make mugs etc. I chose 160 because the mug painting blog recommended it. But the packaging says it's actually for glass. Worked well for my cup. But keep in mind that the color flowed a bit during the baking process. Not enough to mess up or spoil anything - just enough for my eyes to notice. They also say that these colors can be mixed. I'm a beginner so I probably wasn't using the right technique (more research…

I Love These Colors: Art Supplies, Arts & Crafts

I Love These Colors! I needed two Christmas mugs and couldn't find what I needed. Bought two glass mugs at the dollar store and colored them. They turned out super cute. The only additional notes I would add. My stained glass teacher told me that before I even started. Paint each color and WAIT at least 12 hours before adding a new color if colors overlap. In places where black and white touched, I waited 24 hours. Unless, of course, you DON'T WANT the colors to mix and match. Also look out for

It is easy to work with and produces a deep black

Stained glass windows need small details. I've tried this marker and the Pebeo marker, both produce a nice glossy black. While the marker was comfortable to use, the ink is thinner so it doesn't cover and the nib is about as wide as a magic marker so it doesn't make the fine lines I want. This paint is thick enough to draw very sharp lines with an extra fine brush and does not bleed. Needing very precise detail beyond my drawing skills, I used a vinyl stencil by trial and error. Taking it off…

I am so in love with this Pebeo Vitrea 160 Gloss Glass Paint Kit

I am so in love with this Pebeo Vitrea 160 Gloss Glass Paint Kit. If you need a more convenient and thinner solution, use a thinner and mix equal parts only. It comes in ten different colors: Veil White, Inky Black, Paprika, Pepper Red, Lapis Lazuli, Sunshine Yellow, Turquoise, Emerald, Sandalwood, Earth Brown and they are all just amazing. Its stickiness dries in minutes and takes 24 hours to fully dry. After it's completely dry, you can bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Place the stained…

The perfect product for the picky artist

Let me start by saying that I am SUPER picky when it comes to my crafts and craft items. I demand a lot from my materials, especially from my "colorful" environments. I need fastness, colorfastness and durability. I HATE it when a product says it does X but doesn't deliver on that promise. The Pebeo Vitrea 160 is everything I want and need in this range of environments - dishwasher safe (and microwave safe), non-toxic and amazing colour/design. Persistence. I fucking LOVE this. And my old…

I've used it on ceramic and metal without baking.

I live in a small apartment with very little counter space and needed something non-toxic that dries quickly so I can use the kitchen the same day. Finding color to match an antique ceramic Victorian coat hook was a challenge. It was a gift and it was white. Not a fan of white stuff outside of the bathroom. I decided to try the Pebeo Vitrea in purple because I read the reviews and a lot of people use it for ceramic projects. One bottle was enough for two coats on a fairly large hook. I used a…
