Please check the foot distance of your outdoor unit before ordering.

They should not be used for wall mounting in a timber frame house unless the legs of your mini split will match the wall spacing. As you can see from their picture there are only 2 mounts and hardware. What's missing is a crossbar so you can adjust the brackets to fit your outdoor unit's legs. My mini split's outdoor unit has legs that are 20 inches apart. The walls are 16 inches apart. These brackets cannot be mounted on wall studs. If you have concrete walls or your device's feet are 16 or 32

  • Hardly ever

Can't believe the pioneers put their name on these mounts

These are some cheap mounts. I used them to mount my Pioneer WYS012A-19 to a brick wall. The device is about 3 inches or less from the wall and as far away as possible, so it's not good. The anchors that came with the bracket were cheap scrap brass and as there were no instructions they didn't even say what size drill bit to use. I ended up using some of the red concrete anchors I had. The mounts are well adjusted and aren't going anywhere, but they still wobble/wobble on their hinges. This is…

the mounting brackets are very flimsy (weak)

Don't worry, they come with no instructions, the problem is that they don't lay out anywhere near 90 degrees when assembled. just said it's ok they shouldn't be square and intentionally made that way i wouldn't take them apart but use the other two factory holes and make them closer to a square. Solving it would be a disaster. Lock washer or nut I will be checking these mounts often. So far everything else seems to be well built with the Pioneer Mini Split. Everything I bought was Pioneer…

But works fine. for heating, cooling and air quality

I bought these to work with my Pioneer WYS012-17 Air Conditioning Inverter + Ductless Wall Mount Mini Split System Complete Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Kit, 12000 BTU, 115 Q to use I thought Pioneer would take care of putting them together. That's not the case. They came with no installation instructions. They are not screwed or slotted into the bottom of the unit. I used black spacers as best I could. I bolted my outdoor unit to a 2" x 6" stud wall covered in vinyl siding, only to find that

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Brackets are good but we chose not to use them for two reasons

I really can't rate this properly because we are concerned about the weight of the condenser and the top roof on the side of the house have made. So instead we built cinder blocks to support it. There were great tips on getting the plywood out of the house first and then attaching the brackets to it. Our problem stems from the fact that we have a log roof on the house and in winter the snow slides off it like an avalanche. and lands right on it. Instead, when the time came, we decided to build…

Not suitable for wall mounting with wood studs

I purchased this bracket (the packaging said universal bracket) to mount a 12,000 BTU Pioneer outdoor mini-split unit to our plywood exterior wall Sheathing on vertical wooden stands with a center distance of 16 inches. I have not confirmed that the bracket is compatible with 1) the rack assembly and 2) the outdoor unit mounting holes with a 20.25 inch center distance. The mount came with anchor bolts rated for brick or other masonry. So I called Pioneer and they said I could trade it in for…

Great brackets, cheap grommets, screws are useless for stud walls.

I used brackets to wall install a Mini 12,000 BTU split system. Paint looks good. Annoyingly, the bolts and bushings that come with vibration dampers serve only a limited purpose. The screws are hollow wall dowels. It's bad if you mount it on the wall from nails - in studs. So the screws had to be removed. Next, the rubber pads that the air conditioning sits on are flimsy and flimsy. My A/C condenser weighs about 45 pounds and the pads are almost fully compressed after two weeks. If this trend…

Good for $30 but much better options albeit more expensive

This is a $30 mount and it did the job of supporting my outdoor unit but I ended up replacing it with a custom mount that does made by my local metal factory. I had the entire mount made from 5/16" steel with gussets (all welded together). The custom mount cost me $280 for a pair with taxes. I 100% believe it will support my air conditioner and I will electroplate it .- The bracket I bought here was thinner metal and has been on the road for two weeks now and one bracket is showing signs of…
