There must be a better way.

First of all I would suggest buying VDV226-110 (-107) instead. I made a video demonstrating it and it has a few features that it lacks. Secondly, I would like to say that if you are not a professional cable installer, you should not go down this route in the first place. Don't skimp on this tool

A crimper is a crimper, right? They all serve the same purpose and do the same thing. Not quite. I used to be under the impression that the cheap ones that come with the kits are decent enough, they get the job done. Then I found out. I'm not used to holding a crimping tool without almost cutting off my finger. Security alone costs extra money. But the way it strips UTP cable is like butter. Cheaper options usually need to be handled carefully to avoid damaging the copper. This one just rips it

These are the tools I usually buy at regular large hardware stores. It's not that the prices are better or you get the product right away, it's that you can return the product if something isn't right. added some new IP cameras to my existing setup. When making my own, I often run back and forth between the ladder with the poles and the wire box and crawl into the attic. From time to time I forget to move my cutting and crimping machine from place to place. The easy fix was to just get extra…
