Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Efficient All-in-One Ratcheting Crimper by Klein Tools: VDV226-011-SEN for RJ45, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A by Seth Wood

There must be a better way.

First of all I would suggest buying VDV226-110 (-107) instead. I made a video demonstrating it and it has a few features that it lacks. Secondly, I would like to say that if you are not a professional cable installer, you should not go down this route in the first place. Buy pre-terminated cables in the approximate length you need and coil up what you don't need. I'm a jack of all trades professional, mostly working on the refurbishment of very old buildings, so I encounter frustrating and difficult hardware issues almost daily. The customer asked if I could run 4 Cat6 lines for video surveillance and of course I said how difficult it is. 8 terminals but one or two get errors so I have to go to them again tomorrow. A shameless waste of time to save a few bucks by buying a Cat6 coil. I remember Cat5 was easier but it's been a few years. Cat6 is heavier wire, yet this tool makes it possible, not impossible. It doesn't make it easy or worth doing it yourself. I have a feeling they'll probably get easier after you've done a few, after you've done 100 or so. Are you gonna do 100 or something? If so, then take the 110 model. If not, don't even start, you'll only get annoyed for a few days.
