Not included in programmer's manual *UPDATE*

Tera contacted me and provided me with a manual in PDF format. They also told me that all scanners now come with a manual. I am very satisfied with the customer service and am increasing my rating to 4 stars. **Original review below** This scanner is not programmed to scan PDF417 and does not come with a programming guide. You might want to consider an advanced option. Depends on the budget.

Works perfectly, no wonder its capabilities are bewildering. Has an additional half second delay compared to a reader twice the price. Which depending on the application may be acceptable or in my case not worth the initial savings. Pros: The look is discreet and not too aggressive. Unsuccessful but excellent response from the company

This scanner comes with minimal instructions. The online manual didn't help as it didn't explain what the programming barcodes actually do so programming the device would be arbitrary. It worked well enough until it was too late to bring it back and then it failed. When going into sleep mode, it stopped turning on. The light came on, but the scanner didn't scan. So it had to be unplugged and plugged back in to reset it. It's not practical if you have to do this for every client. However, when I
