Another unique feature of Bytecoin is that it wasn’t made from a fork of bitcoin code. Instead, it was coded from scratch. This is where things get confusing: some people call bitcoin forks Bytecoins (BTE), which is different from Bytecoin (BCN), the currency we’re talking about today. I think the potential of Bytecoin is higher and it has to be more promoted. I see no reason that speaks against this currency. When I think in the past how ripple was unknown and suddenly it jumps, then I see here the same potential.
Pros
- Bytecoin has one important difference from other cryptocurrencies: it was the first ever altcoin based on CryptoNote technology. The altcoin is frequently called a “totally anonymous cryptocurrency”. Some of the advantages of the cryptocurrency include the utilization of ring signatures as well as one-time cryptocurrency addresses.
Cons
- The platform isn’t so unique nowadays, because of many new altcoin networks that provide the same services as BCN. It’s complicated to get renewed every time a new cryptocurrency appears. There are users that aren’t excited about the Bytecoin Wallet. They say it doesn’t synchronize all the time as it should.
