Perfect for killing weeds to get rid of poison ivy and oak!

They were perfect for my project. I found that I could fill these containers with weed killer, then use rubber gloves, cut off the end of a poison ivy or oak vine, stick it in a water pipe and leave it for a week. It eventually kills the weeds and sucks the weed killer into the root, which then goes to work killing other vines from the same root system. You were perfect. Even when the poison ivy died and dried up, they stayed in the water pipes. The water pipes never slipped out of the system.

PERFECT FOR MY PROJECT

These water tubes are small and only fit 1 stick securely, trying to fit more than 1 stick in the lid may defeat their purpose of water storage. Some reviewers have complained that they are very small so they must not have read the description carefully but the small ones are just what I need and they are perfect for my needs! I intend to use them in bridal centerpieces where some materials need a little extra moisture - it helps me feel more confident that I'm giving as much as needed. I…

Little did I know the roots would work their way under a 6 inch concrete slab and grow 20 feet away! I immediately took it out of the ground, but I couldn't get all the roots, so more shoots emerged. I've tried everything I can think of to kill the roots without damaging other plants near the emerging shoots, but to no avail. . I had the…

Ideal. I use them in reverse.

We've been fighting blackberries and holly in our rose gardens for decades. I've been using them for a few years to dose herbicides against individual pests and they work great! I think this could be her last hurrah. I cut the end of a vine or branch at an angle, fill 1/2 tube with herbicide (straight up!) and stick the cut end into the tube. It can take up to a day for the plant to drink it, but they always do. After a week they will turn brown and dead or on the way. Once the herbicide is…
