What's not to like?

Torque Wrench know. I worked on nuclear weapons and had 12 different torque wrenches for this purpose, all of which were calibrated monthly. This torque wrench is reliable and works well. Over time, all torque wrenches will need to be recalibrated. With care, this switch should stay within (+/-) 2-3% for several years with moderate use.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Weight

So won't fit in wrenches

This thing sucks. You should save the lowest torque wrenches, but the lowest torque wrench is TOO LONG TO ATTACH THE HOUSING. Also SO MUCH PLASTIC. They use snap-on affiliation but don't. Spend another $20 and get the SK Proto - made in the USA, all metal, with a certification certificate and working case.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Good quality torque wrench for little money

Excellent torque wrench for the money. Certainly not snap-on quality, but much better than many of the big brands. Factory calibration showed that the wrench was accurate in the middle of the torque range and only deviated about 2% at each end of the range. I'm about to buy a second one with 3/8" drive and low torque.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

It did not help with hand and power tools

Today I tried for the first time to tighten 4 front sprocket cover bolts on a Triumph motorcycle. I took them off with another tool just a few minutes earlier so I had a good idea of how tight they were (torque 9Nm). When reassembling it was attempted to be tightened with this new torque wrench and it has never loosened, clicked or otherwise indicated reaching let alone exceeding 9Nm. When I checked with the same tool I originally used to remove them, it was obvious that they were now muchโ€ฆ

What a wonderful offer. CDI doesn't look like a well known brand

What a great deal. The CDI doesn't look like a well-known brand, but it says "CDI, a snap-on brand" right on the box. The fit and finish are very nice. feels like a quality instrument. The included calibration sheet was a great touch. definitely makes you feel like you got a lot more than what you paid for. I have no way of testing the accuracy, but if the calibration sheet is correct, it's much more accurate than advertised. I was a little nervous about ordering this because one spec sheetโ€ฆ

Exactly what the doctor ordered

just received. It'll have a better idea with more use, but it's beautifully made, easy to use and a great weight and size for bike work. Calibrated by Bruno in March 2013. Just wanted those looking for Nm to work on a 1/4 drive bike to state on the calibration certificate that it is calibrated below: calibrated for 30 in-lbs to 150 in-lbs {calibrated 20% (30 in-lbs), 60% (90 in-lbs) and 100% (150 in-lbs) of full load}. Indeed, it can be seen that the accuracy readings are well below theโ€ฆ

Great selection of 3/8 " torque wrenches!

When I wanted to add a pair of torque wrenches to my tool kit I was a bit apprehensive about this model not passing the reviews. There was nothing to worry about. As you probably know when buying a torque wrench quality is what counts, CDI is sort of an offshoot of the popular SnapOn brand, albeit at a comparatively lower price point, was the class I was aiming for, somewhere between a cheap tool (better than say a handyman) and a less professional mechanic.and this one fits the bill. It'sโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dual scale calibrated in two directions

  • Drill kit
