With a few tweaks it could be great. The cutting surface flexes during use; should be stronger. I like spikes to hold things in place, but some things don't need them; It would be better if they were only on one side. Rubber around the outside creates an edge when shredded product is pushed off the edge; must be flush with the cut surface. It's ok for the price, but I'd happily pay more for one with the above mods.

I had a surprisingly hard time finding a decent cutting board. I tried a lot. Too big, too small, too thin, too soft. All I needed was a cutting board big enough to cut chicken breasts or make a salad that was dishwasher safe so easy to clean. These boards are great. As a bonus, I didn't notice that my knives cut a series of grooves where bacteria can lodge. I'm sure it will eventually happen, but some of these cutting boards are like hard cheese or something.

I bought a pair of these for my mum for Mother's Day and have cooked for her a few times since. Love the textured blob, it's perfect for making fresh garlic and ginger paste, it's a lot easier than grating or chopping. Very easy to clean. The only thing it's not good for is going soft, it wobbles and bounces a little more than a flat cutting board.
