Type of review

I already had a similar one (it doesn't have folding springs to prevent rolling) from Harbor Freight for 2/3 from the cost of the cost (it can be bought online for a similar cost). I was about to buy another one but they were out of stock at the local store for about 2 months. You can buy it online, but I went for more features for the same price. BUT. This device has some nice extras, but the roller isn't really round, it has a noticeable bulge at one end. Attempts to return.

Good for my use

This is a very basic reel stand that I use to hold long lengths of wood on my inexpensive table saw. I'm just a casual and beginner carpenter and didn't want to spend too much on this type of hardware. The stand opens and you set the desired height. Nothing special but works well for me. You can feel the processing and the relatively low weight. Collapses to about 4 inches deep, which is necessary for my situation. I would like a wider track and a slightly lower price for such basic equipment…

Works great

Very smooth roller. Folding guides are a good idea and useful when working with some narrow materials. It's very light, I think too light because it tips over very easily. The height mechanism is very smooth and works well. One of the main issues is the lack of a lock to keep the legs in the unfolded position. This means if you lift it incorrectly, your fingers will be crushed when the board swing closes and you'll have a hard time just sliding through the workshop because the legs keep wanting

improvement needed.

I returned the item because the neck tension knob was difficult to turn (thread problems?) and the neck did not move freely. This made small elevation changes difficult as the grip felt tight. The reel just fell off. This happens right after what I thought was pretty tight and during trimming. I wasted a few boards. The legs moved and were not fixed in an open posture. When the stand was raised, the legs closed. This meant it would lock up in my hand as I moved it from one place to another…

  • Eccentric leg holders stand on uneven ground
Cons
  • Only available in black

This is a well made product at a great price. There is only one problem: I absolutely have to level the stand on uneven terrain, and the so-called "eccentric foot” does not do this job well. The knurled plastic knob you see in the picture is so tight that it can't be turned by hand (at least not by my hands); I had to use large vise pliers. Second, whether the grip is fully closed or fully open, the shaft will never become "eccentric". I found it impossible to use this knob in any position to…
