I returned the item because the neck tension knob was difficult to turn (thread problems?) and the neck did not move freely. This made small elevation changes difficult as the grip felt tight. The reel just fell off. This happens right after what I thought was pretty tight and during trimming. I wasted a few boards. The legs moved and were not fixed in an open posture. When the stand was raised, the legs closed. This meant it would lock up in my hand as I moved it from one place to another. Lowes sells the device better. I bought them instead and was pleasantly surprised that they were $4 cheaper. There is a lock on the legs. The neck and neck are free to move, and the clamping screw is free to move along its thread.
