Finger Crusher: You can do better with a 2x4 and a dowel rod

I've had this base for a year now. I've mailed this thing around my shop a dozen times, along with a massive amount of curses for every piece of wood I tried to support. This thing causes serious anger. If you hit it just a little, even with a dusty hose, it will all fall apart and it will need to be retuned. If you tighten something to stabilize it, the tubes just break and everything becomes loose and unstable again. Every time I touch this thing something bad happens and last but not leastโ€ฆ

Why didn't I buy a year ago?

Quilt Lady's Hubby Review: FOR YEARS I've laid either a miter saw on the floor or a Workmate and then coughed around and used my saws as extensions for longer lumber. I bought this roller (I also have a miter saw stand) as an extra pair of hands with a miter saw and when sawing long boards on my Shop Smith. My wife was my extra hands, but it's hard for two to move firewood evenly ๐Ÿ˜‰. Used it for the first time today and am amazed at how it works! WHY DID I NOT PURCHASE ONE YEAR AGO? Assemblyโ€ฆ

An extremely good offer.

I used to have 3 of these stands and they all cost almost the same as they did 15 years ago. 2 were skate only racks that I still have. I've only had one coaster where the rollers were all rusted and frozen, so unusable. The ONLY thing that was better about these racks was that they had greaves welded on. At the ends of the crossbars there were rubber caps for the tips of the stick, which moved away fairly quickly. The "legs" on this stand are much better. Other stands opened fully verticallyโ€ฆ
