This stand is worth the money. Use with heavy objects - e.g. B. long wooden beam - means that the lag screw holding the height adjustment can be ripped off by the knob tightening the lag screw. This means drilling a hole, inserting a screw and getting back to work after the repair. I had to do this repair for each of these stands.

I bought this stand and after trying to fully assemble it I advise you to find another stand. The quality of the manufacturer is disgusting. As an example, I had to use a vise to straighten the tabs on the legs of the stand so they fit flush against the center shaft. Second, I had to use the vise again to squeeze the leg, which is a U channel, just enough to align the mounting screw holes. It's not worth the trouble, IT'S CHARACTER!

I originally bought these rollers as feed and eject rollers for trimming long pieces on my bandsaw. My table height is 1/2 inch below the stated max height of the reel stands - unfortunately they make it an inch below the max height. But honestly, it doesn't matter that they don't even reach the advertised height, because when you extend them all the way there will be no post in the base tube and they will tilt an inch or two, breaking the top plastic boot.
