Review on Dell FR3PK 34 Inch LED Lit Monitor, 60Hz, Swivel & Tilt Adjustment, Anti-Glare Coating, USB Hub, U3417W, HD by Erik Moody

First of all, I have virtually no experience with competing products. My Asus 1080p recently failed after 5 years so it's time for a new monitor. I went to Fry to compare different monitors but they didn't have the u3417w floorstanding model. I considered the Samsung 34" Curved, but the 1080p resolution on such a large screen was terrible. I've also looked at more expensive gaming monitors, but $1,000+ was a deal breaker, plus I game not much so the extras weren't worth it for me i thought the u3417w is the right compromise i use the monitor for learning, programming, very light gaming and reading for these purposes this monitor is almost ideal for you (never exposed). is very easy to use and the settings make sense. This is my main monitor for my computer and also improves my wife's experience. 2009 iMac 24". Her iMac's screen is almost the same height as this screen (1/2" offset), so they look great side by side (thanks largely to Dell's adjustable height). Left corner, but they're not. Too bad a little squeeze on them the plastic corner seems to take it away entirely so I could explore some of the common fixes to minimize it to get the usb hub to work with my computer, although I can't tell it's the error monitors I have an asus p8z68-v pro gen3 motherboard with an AsMedia USB 3.0 controller. When my wireless mouse and keyboard are plugged into a monitor, they keep disconnecting and reconnecting. I've tried various fixes, but none of them work consistently It's been a long time putting this on one USB 2.0 port on my computer which then works fine It's far from perfect but it doesn't bother me I have another USB AB cable el ordered (monitor comes with only one) to connect to my wife's iMac. Since their iMac only supports USB 2.0, I don't feel like I'm missing anything. In my opinion, any mouse/keyboard plugged into the monitor will work with whatever computer is currently on the screen. This saves us from having to use two keyboards (or disconnecting and reconnecting the dongle). I'll update my post about it once I've tried it. Overall, I'm very impressed with the capabilities of this monitor. It has the right mix of functionality, quality and wow factor. Of course, I wish the price was lower, but I'd still say it's $800.
