Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ ASUS VS239H-P 1920X1080 Backlit Monitor, Full HD, 60Hz by Luis Blackburn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great monitor (if you don't get a faulty one)!

Now I'm on the 3rd block, having previously returned 2. I've decided to repeat my review based on the latter. ADVANTAGES: - Beautiful colors! Based on TN, the colors on it are much lighter. Maybe not as bright/"brilliant" as a glossy IPS screen, but if you're here you're not looking for a glossy screen anyway! And compared to TN, this is a huge upgrade. The viewing angles are also excellent. VESA! Eventually I plan to get 1 or 2 more monitors if my wallet decides it's ok! Being able to put these guys on a double or triple mount is a definite plus! - Matte screen (will lose rich glossy colors but also rich glossy reflections!) - Each device arrived without a single scratch and no dead pixels. .CONS: Cheap stand, very wobbly monitor. Just typing on the keyboard makes this thing shake! -- Anti-glare coating is uneven across the screen -- a small portion of it appears to have a hatch pattern, which is true. strange. I noticed something similar on one of the returned devices. Fortunately, this usually goes unnoticed. I only see this when I'm on a white screen and need to lean towards my screen for some reason (6 inches from it). At arm's length, I don't even know he's there. But it still exists, flashy or not, it's a scam! Miscellaneous: First page warns of slight glow/bleeding. True, I had all 3rd and all in the same place (lower right corner). I don't consider this a minus as it is clearly stated, but I mentioned it here anyway. Just something for potential buyers to look out for! Oh, and for anyone wondering what went wrong with the two devices before that: the first had some crazy glowing/IPS bleeding/whatever. Sure, the front page warns you about a little bleeding, but oh my god, it wasn't that little. After that, 2 devices also had it, but not to the same extent. The second I'm not even sure about, the best I can describe is something like an uneven anti-reflective coating. but in this case it was a bunch of lines/smudges. Visible only on white screens, but even at my usual arm's length viewing distance. My brother didn't see it but it drove me crazy!
