An important point about colors and brightness. You need a DisplayPort cable. Not for consoles

First things first, before setting up anything on this monitor, make sure you have a DisplayPort cable and are running it at the recommended 144Hz. This is NOT something you get right out of the box. *** If you choose not to, your experience may not be optimal. You are NOT using the monitor properly. ***Please also note that image quality will vary based on refresh rate for both PS4 users and PC players. Your HDMI cable may not necessarily support 120+Hz. THIS MONITOR IS DESIGNED FOR 144Hz USE. After unpacking and connecting the monitor, I was initially very disappointed. I used my old HDMI from my PS4 and my old monitor was a BenQ which only worked up to 60Hz. It had a VA panel and I knew the TN panel was considered inferior. HOWEVER I bought this particular monitor to use FreeSync with my Nvidia GTX GeForce 1060. So I went out and bought a DisplayPort cable (which is required for this feature) and then everything changed. I bumped the refresh rate to 144Hz, turned on FreeSync and the colors were damn good, although the contrast ratio and performance were technically inferior to my BenQ. I didn't notice him at all. Yes, it's bright, but I easily turned the settings down to an acceptable level. For professional purposes or people used to an IPS panel, I cannot judge the quality of the colors. But my old monitor was bought in 2017 and has comparable colors. I can't comment on the glare from the backlight either, because I just can't see it. It's not OLED, but it's not advertised. For €230 I think it's a good buy. Pros: Great stand. Navigating the menus is quite nice and easy with the joystick on the back. Excellent return on investment. FreeSync compatible and approved by Nvidia (verbatim stated in their YouTube video). CONS: The speakers are rubbish. But I only use them when I don't feel like putting on a headset. At least on my model, the auto-off function does not work. It turns off randomly even when I use it. I disabled it to avoid this. That's a bummer. But I only have to manually press the button, which doesn't cost much.
