Images are inaccurate

Product images are not accurate. I bought this switch specifically for the bezel with no logos or text on the bottom, which I preferred over the Fastronix switch for a cleaner install, but the bezel on this switch has a large red part number printed right on the bezel and still looks worse than one with the Fastronix logo.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Sturdy and reliable electrical contact

The nubs are a bit big but that's ok. Works with most battery connector cables, but I had to drill one of the battery cable connectors. So far it seems better and more reliable than my Marinco battery selector but I'll have to see how it performs next year.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Some flaws

After about 50 uses my switch stopped conducting current and I ended up a few miles from home. I found that the metal holding the switch's black plastic base was not crimped properly and the plastic base was hanging low and not touching the contacts. My solution was to use a clip to hold the plastic in place and epoxy the black plastic to the metal.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Some downsides

A handy addition to RV batteries.

I needed a home switch for my RV batteries. Most of my RV plugs are powered by an engine battery. After a few hikes my motor battery died so this was the solution. I connected my home batteries to extra USB outlets and fused 12V outlets. Now I can turn on my outlets without turning on the engine or house switch. This was drilled into the stage case where the batteries will be placed. I bought a drill for $20 but it was worth it.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Pass this. fits battery switch

Not satisfied. There is no locking pin, so it turns when you try to tighten it. The off/on platter also spins, so trying to line everything up correctly is very annoying. There is also a lot of play between the lever and the shaft. I had to add a few turns of tape to fix this. Haven't even hooked it up to power yet, but I doubt it can handle 400 amps - installed this to cut power to my winch when not in use. In general, this is a weak copy of the Fastronix disconnect switch. Spend the extra…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • fits
