Good product if you are good with tools.

I have a 6-leaf metal exterior door separating my living room from my basement stairs, and I keep it closed in the winter. I removed the door, attached it to the outside and used a 4 inch angle grinder to cut holes on each side. the flat parts of the door (not the panels) and used some white silicone to fill in the gaps where the panels were. It took Bobby a few weeks to get used to it, but with a little encouragement (and a few kicks on the snare drum at the bottom of the drum kit) he learned…

Pad too short for walls + magnet had to be removed

If your walls are wider than 2" apart, you will need to buy one or more additional 2" pads for $11 each (cheat). Our interior walls are 5 inches wide. The magnet is too strong for shy cats and I think should be easy to remove for people using flaps between the inner walls. As is, the magnet is glued behind the plastic. Some people will have trouble removing the magnet. but I did it in less than two minutes == How to remove the magnet == Use a small _sharp_ wood chisel, a small hammer and a…

The door is cool, the inserts are not very good.

The door is very nice. and i really like it. I need the inserts because I put them in the wall so my cat won't yell at 4am to be let out of the room to get water. Since you must have them for the wall, I will tell you that if you have a standard interior wall, you will need TWO (2) liners. This is really annoying and I'll give the liners 1 star themselves for that because it's really funny. Also, in order for them to fit in a standard wall, you will need to cut 1.25 sections from one of the…

Great door, questionable instructions

This was delivered quickly and well packaged. We built this into an internal steel door between the house and garage. Cutting through the steel with a jigsaw was the hardest part of the job, as it had to be cut individually on both sides of the door (the door was too thick to cut through the entire door in one go). I think it could be a 20 minute job but due to our problems it took 2 hours. This is of course not due to the product. Once the hole was made it was easy enough to install the door…
